Professor David Ingram accepts Senior Visiting Fellowship
We are very pleased that Professor David Ingram OBE ScD FRSE has accepted a Senior Visiting Fellowship at the Department. Professor Ingram was Regius Keeper of the Royal Botanic Garden, Edinburgh, until returning to Cambridge recently as Master of St Catharine's College. He was, until 1990, a long- standing member of staff of this Department (Research Fellow 1968- 69; University Lecturer 1974-88; Reader 1988-90).

Peter Grubb made Professor
We are delighted that Peter Grubb has been promoted to a Professorship, in recognition of his outstanding record of achievement in ecology. The University appoints Professors "in recognition of an established and significant international reputation for what is widely acknowledged to be outstanding research and scholarly distinction in the forefront of the discipline". He has taken the title of Professor of Investigative Plant Ecology.
